Photo editing is fun, and photo editing software integrates hundreds of tools that make it even more interesting. Each tool has a specific purpose and empowers users to put their imagination to reality in a certain way.

You can use dozens of different adjustments for changing the color and exposure, correct red-eye, eliminate marks and blemishes, edit white balance, etc. For advanced level adjustments, you can try Levels and Curves controls to change contrast, brightness, and tone in various areas of the image.
After you make changes to the image or the video, the original files remain unaltered in the Photos. It will allow you to undo the changes and revert to the original file. Changes made to the original media appear in the library. To give an image or a video a unique look, you can duplicate the file and work on the copy.

Crop the Image
Crop the image for improving its composition and eliminating the additional parts of the image. This will help to make the image more appealing. You can crop the image to a custom aspect ratio, or a preset or can constrain the image to the original aspect ratio.
Click the Crop option to view the option to crop the image or video.
Resize the Image
Sometimes, you need to resize images to get to the right dimension, and it’s fairly simple to do this in Photos. Open Photos app, select your image, click File, and select Export 1 Photo. Under the Size, select any one option among Full Size, Large Size, Medium, or Small. Click Custom to add your own size and dimensions to the image in pixels.
Enhance Video Clips
You can straighten a photo or enhance video clips by adjusting the color arrangements and creating visual effects. Using Photos, you can easily change the video by adding more than dozens of effects the way you want. Photos allow users to apply filters, enhance colors, and straighten or crop videos. Select the image and click Duplicate 1 Photo. If your image has been inverted during capture, you can fix it in Photos. Also, keep in mind that deleting redundant copies should not be a problem in case you make too many duplicates.
Sharpen the Image
Sharpening a photo makes it allow adding details to make it more apparent by defining the lines. You can zoom in on the image to check what happens to the photo when you adjust an element or add any additional effects to the image. Try to add sharpening effects at the end of the editing task, as it may make your image look grainy, especially if there is the text you want to emphasize.
Rotate the Image
If you have captured an image in horizontal landscape mode and want to turn it into a vertical portrait, you will have to rotate it. Open the picture in the Photos app on MacBook, look for the Rotate sign in the toolbar available in the upper right section of the window. You may need to click the Rotate sign multiple times to get the desired result. Alternatively, the Preview app within the macOS also allows rotating the image.
Copy/Paste Adjustments
After adjusting the image or video, you can copy the set of adjustments you made to the media and paste them on other items. However, Photos only allows you to copy and paste adjustments to the new item one at a time. To discard all changes and start afresh, select the item, choose Image, and click Revert to Original.
Annotate the Image
You can write and draw on the image using the Markup tool in Photos. Annotating a picture is quite simple, and you can do it by navigating to the Photos. Double click the item, click Edit in the toolbar, click Extensions, and then select Markup. You can select appropriate tools to draw, sketch, add text, highlight text, or add shapes to the item.
